Internal Medicine Registrar (Telemedicine)

About the role

We are seeking a Registrar in Internal Medicine to deliver comprehensive adult care through telemedicine platforms. Working remotely, you will manage acute, chronic and complex conditions, providing patient‑centred consultations under supervision while continuing your professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations via video, phone and secure messaging for a range of medical issues.
• Assess, diagnose and manage patients using telehealth tools and remote monitoring devices.
• Develop and adjust personalized treatment plans, including medication management, referrals and lifestyle advice.
• Document all encounters accurately in electronic health records and ensure safe prescribing practices.
• Coordinate follow‑up visits, both virtual and in‑person when required, and facilitate multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Promote preventive care through digital outreach such as screening reminders and health education.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, clinical audits and research activities.
• Maintain compliance with telehealth regulations, ethical standards and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor currently in an Internal Medicine training programme (Registrar level).
• Experience in delivering patient care, preferably with exposure to telemedicine.
• Strong communication skills for virtual patient interaction and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to clinical governance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms (video conferencing, secure messaging).
• Use of remote patient monitoring devices and digital health tools.
• Electronic medical record documentation.
