International Patient Engagement Intern (12‑month contract)

About the role

Join Vertex Pharmaceuticals' International Patient Engagement (IPE) team in Riyadh for a 12‑month internship. You will help integrate patient perspectives into the development and launch of innovative therapies, working closely with both local and global stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation, localization, and review of Arabic patient education materials and maintain organized content libraries.
• Collaborate with Vertex headquarters in London and internal teams to ensure compliance and alignment with brand standards.
• Participate in meetings with patient organisations, advocacy groups, and agencies to gather and analyse patient insights.
• Research disease awareness, patient education needs, and public‑health topics related to nephropathy and diabetes in Saudi Arabia.
• Map relevant patient associations, prepare briefing materials, and assist cross‑functional teams in identifying unmet educational needs.
• Provide operational support, including project‑timeline tracking, plan maintenance, and presentation preparation.

Required profile

• Completed a degree in Health Education, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong interest in patient engagement within the biotech/pharma sector.
• Enthusiastic, curious, and highly motivated.
• Based in Riyadh and able to work on‑site three days per week.
