International Tax Section Manager

About the role

The International Tax Section Manager leads the overseas tax function, ensuring compliance, optimisation and risk management across all jurisdictions where the group operates. You will plan, develop and monitor tax activities, leveraging technology and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver high‑quality results at an efficient cost.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, review and filing of tax returns for subsidiaries in multiple countries, ensuring timely compliance with local laws.
• Develop and implement tax‑efficient strategies, including transfer pricing, tax credits and incentives, in partnership with finance teams.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure adherence to both local and international regulations.
• Identify tax risks, design mitigation measures and support internal and external audits, including responding to tax authority inquiries.
• Handle cross‑border tax issues, double‑taxation treaties and withholding tax obligations.
• Communicate complex tax matters to finance, legal and external advisors, fostering alignment on tax strategy.
• Leverage tax compliance software, automation tools and ERP systems to streamline reporting and filing processes.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of domestic and international tax laws, including corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax.
• Proven experience in tax compliance, reporting and planning for multinational organisations.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail in reviewing tax data and filings.
• Excellent communication skills to convey tax concepts to non‑tax professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, legal and external tax advisors.
