IT Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join Marriott International’s property on Ummahat Island. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting the hotel’s computer networks, servers and related hardware and software.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and repair computer networks, workstations and server systems.
• Manage user accounts, telephone rooms and ensure proper hardware/software operation.
• Provide end‑user support for all applications and train users on system use and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, WAN and internet connectivity issues.
• Coordinate equipment installations, moves, additions, changes and system enhancements.
• Implement network security measures and maintain backup procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory of technological devices and manage disk space across the network.
• Follow company policies, ensure confidentiality and support a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related IT work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lb and work on stairs or ramps.
