IT Technical Specialist

About the role

The IT Technical Specialist will provide first‑line and basic second‑line technical support to OSUS employees, ensuring smooth operation of end‑user devices, network connectivity, and core IT services. Working under senior IT staff, the role combines onsite assistance with remote troubleshooting to maintain productivity across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line helpdesk support (both onsite and remote) for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests in the IT ticketing system according to SLA targets.
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, IP phones and related peripherals.
• Assist with basic network and wireless connectivity problems, including LAN ports, Wi‑Fi access and simple VPN issues.
• Install and update standard operating systems and business applications following IT standards.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and email systems under supervision.
• Maintain up‑to‑date asset records for devices and support software license tracking.
• Participate in procurement activities, vendor communications, warranty claims and support policy implementation.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems and networking concepts.
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing tools and a customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and work collaboratively with senior IT staff.
• Strong attention to detail for asset and license management.
