Junior Architect

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Junior Architect to join its Architecture team in Jeddah. You will work on innovative and sustainable architectural solutions across a variety of building and infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to all design phases from concept to construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing architectural designs, drawings, and presentation materials for different project stages.
• Support senior architects in developing design concepts, 3D visualisations, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP, and interior design to ensure integrated delivery.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Participate in site visits, design workshops, and client meetings as needed.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of design tools, sustainability principles, and architectural trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognised university.
• 2‑5 years of experience in architectural design, preferably in an international or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Familiarity with regional design standards, building codes, and sustainable design principles.
• Experience preparing concept designs, detailed drawings, and presentations.
• Exposure to large‑scale projects such as mixed‑use, commercial, or institutional developments is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic understanding of BIM workflows and coordination processes.
