Junior Planning Engineer

About the role

Group AMANA is looking for a motivated Junior Planning Engineer to support the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of design‑build projects across industrial, commercial and data‑center sectors in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong technical planning capabilities, hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 and a solid understanding of project controls and construction sequencing.

Key responsibilities

• Review contract and tender documents to capture scheduling requirements, milestones and reporting obligations.
• Prepare and maintain tender, baseline, look‑ahead, micro and recovery schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor actual progress through site visits, daily reports, timesheets and quantity data, updating schedules accordingly.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, resource histograms, cash‑flow curves and schedule presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Identify potential delays, communicate impacts to the Project Manager and recommend mitigation or recovery strategies.
• Conduct delay analysis and support the Contracts team in preparing Extension of Time claims.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, cost control, quantity surveying and contracts teams to ensure effective time management.
• Participate in site progress meetings, follow up on planning actions and keep all stakeholders informed of schedule updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant project planning experience, preferably in data‑center or industrial projects.
• Possession of at least one certification: PMP, PMI‑SP or PSP.
• Strong understanding of contractual and commercial implications related to project scheduling.
• Candidate must be a Saudi national.
