Kitchen Technician – Commercial Kitchen Maintenance

About the role

The Kitchen Technician ensures that all commercial kitchen equipment across the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting uninterrupted Food & Beverage service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, dishwashers, ice machines, refrigerators, freezers and other kitchen appliances.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and basic plumbing faults in cooking and refrigeration equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns to minimise operational disruption.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections, maintain accurate service records and manage spare‑part inventories.
• Assist with installation, testing and commissioning of new kitchen equipment and support energy‑conservation initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration or a related field.
• Previous experience maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, preferably in hotels, resorts or large restaurants.
• Good knowledge of health, safety and hygiene standards applicable to kitchen operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and shift work.
