Launch Manufacturing Engineering Specialist – EV

About the role

A global engineering and project delivery consultancy is seeking an experienced Launch Manufacturing Engineering Specialist – EV to lead the start‑up of a new electric powertrain manufacturing facility in the Middle East. The role supports a major automotive client scaling production of e‑motors, inverters and integrated e‑drive assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of a new production line, from equipment installation and commissioning to process qualification, run‑at‑rate, PPAP, Start of Production and ramp‑up to full‑scale manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with automotive quality standards and deliver on schedule.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, manufacturing, materials or industrial engineering.
• 5–10 years of process engineering experience in high‑volume automotive powertrain or component manufacturing, with hands‑on floor ownership of processes at rate.
• Proven knowledge of automotive quality methods such as PFMEA, control plans, 8D, root‑cause analysis, APQP and PPAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
