Lead, Financial Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a Lead, Financial Reporting to oversee finance operations for our Saudi Arabia entity. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong governance while supporting business growth and new product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for KSA with a D+3 target.
• Prepare IFRS financial statements with SOCPA adjustments, supporting schedules and reconciliations.
• Apply IFRS (especially 9, 15, 16) and SOCPA standards, documenting accounting positions.
• Prepare ZATCA filings (CIT, Zakat, VAT, WHT, CTDF) and SAMA regulatory returns, ensuring reconciliation to the financial statements.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain general‑ledger integrity.
• Support provisioning and ECL calculations under IFRS 9 for customer and merchant receivables.
• Coordinate external audits, provide audit‑ready financials, and act as the primary contact for auditors.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, reconciliations, and segregation of duties.
• Support treasury, settlement reporting, and related bank/merchant reconciliations.
• Assist intercompany and transfer‑pricing reporting in coordination with Group Tax.
• Drive process improvements, ERP (Oracle NetSuite) reporting, data integrity, and automation.
• Mentor and review junior finance team members.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations for finance readiness of new products.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in financial reporting, statutory reporting, or external audit, preferably in fintech, banking, or a Big 4 environment.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or SOCPA) – qualified or in progress.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• IFRS standards (especially IFRS 9, 15, 16).
• SOCPA/local GAAP knowledge.
• Saudi tax regulations (ZATCA – Zakat, Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• ERP experience – Oracle NetSuite (preferred).
