Lead Piping Stress Engineer

About the role

Under general supervision, the Lead Piping Stress Engineer independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations. The role provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates, with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice. The position is also responsible for measurable assets such as assigned staff and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced engineering techniques to piping stress analysis.
• Make informed decisions on engineering problems and methods.
• Represent the organization in conferences and negotiations with external engineers and officials.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and junior engineers.
• Manage measurable assets, including staff and budget allocations.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience (average experience 10+ years).
• Demonstrated ability to provide scientific interpretations and advice that are heavily relied upon by peers.
