Lead Process Engineer – Aluminium Recycling

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to drive performance and continuous improvement in our aluminium recycling operations. You will oversee the entire process from scrap handling to melting, alloying and casting, ensuring high efficiency, quality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise the aluminium recycling process, including scrap receiving, sorting, pretreatment, melting, alloying, metal treatment and casting.
• Increase metal recovery, reduce energy consumption, minimise waste and improve product quality.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective operations.
• Monitor process performance, investigate issues, implement corrective actions and support reliability programmes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and environmental standards and contribute to sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgical or related engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in aluminium recycling, secondary aluminium production or melting and casting.
• Strong knowledge of process optimisation, metallurgy and alloy chemistry.
• Fluent in English.
