Lead Procurement Coordinator – Mining Project

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Procurement Coordinator to support the development of a new gold mine and processing facility in Saudi Arabia. The role will be pivotal in managing procurement activities, vendor evaluation, and ensuring timely delivery of critical equipment and materials.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess EPCM contractor procurement plans, material requisitions, and schedules.
• Coordinate technical evaluation of vendor proposals, including bid tabulations and commercial bid evaluations.
• Validate purchase orders, vendor documentation, logistics strategies, and quality assurance processes.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests, vendor inspections, and expediting activities.
• Manage long‑lead items, equipment tracking, and resolve vendor‑related issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate vendor data into project deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of relevant experience in mining, oil & gas, EPC or EPCM environments.
• Strong understanding of contracting principles and corporate/project procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams where applicable.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.
