Lead Site Reliability Engineer – Imunify Reliability Platform

About the role

This is a greenfield SRE leadership opportunity for a large‑scale, security‑focused product. Based in Saudi Arabia with a remote‑first setup, you will define what “healthy” means across roughly 70 components, establishing SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and monitoring standards from scratch.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement meaningful SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for ~70 product components.
• Develop a reliability taxonomy covering availability, latency, fleet reachability, security‑control efficacy, and telemetry health.
• Design and build a telemetry collection pipeline for customer‑hosted agents and cloud services, balancing push‑based collection, sampling, privacy, and data quality.
• Extend instrumentation across Python, Go, and Rust services in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Consolidate dashboards and reporting into a streamlined observability platform.
• Implement symptom‑based, SLO‑driven alerting with multi‑window burn‑rate principles and clear runbooks.
• Establish a machine‑readable ownership and escalation model, including follow‑the‑sun practices.
• Coach squads on operational ownership, incident command, and blameless post‑mortems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Site Reliability Engineering initiatives in a security‑focused environment.
• Strong ability to work remotely and asynchronously with distributed teams.
• Demonstrated skill in defining reliability metrics and driving measurable outcomes.
• Excellent collaboration with engineering leads and senior engineers.
