Lead Specialist, API & Integration

About the role

Ma'aden, a fast-growing mining and metals company based in Saudi Arabia, is hiring a Lead Specialist, API & Integration in Riyadh. The role connects business and technology ecosystems through scalable integration services, setting integration standards and governing API delivery so that enterprise data is accessible, protected and usable.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver secure, scalable APIs and integration services with consistent, performant patterns and service contracts.
• Embed authentication, authorization, auditing and access controls, and keep API solutions aligned with data governance, security and architecture standards.
• Maintain lifecycle controls across API design, deployment, change management and retirement.
• Keep integration services highly available, strengthen observability through monitoring, logging, metrics and tracing, and resolve production incidents.
• Give technical guidance to integration projects and vendors, partner with data engineering, platform and application teams, and enable API adoption through documentation and onboarding.
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement of integration performance and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in API development and integration engineering in enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering production-grade integrations with strong security and governance requirements, and supporting mission-critical services.
• Experience collaborating across platform, engineering, architecture and business teams.
