Learning and Development Officer (Saudi National)

About the role

ABYAT is seeking a Learning and Development Officer to design, deliver and oversee training and onboarding programs for its growing retail operations in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on integrating new hires and providing continuous development for existing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive training programs aligned with organizational goals, including manuals, presentations and e‑learning modules.
• Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads to identify skill gaps.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars and on‑the‑job training sessions for employees at all levels.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback, surveys and performance metrics, and continuously improve content.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, keep accurate training records and manage certifications.
• Support employee development through coaching, mentoring and career‑development resources.

Education and qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in training and development, HR or employee engagement, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proven ability to design and deliver training programs and onboarding processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field.
• Certifications in Training of Trainers (TOT), training material design or talent development are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time‑management skills.
