Legal Advisor

About the role

Jobholders at this level are experienced professionals who work under general direction. They develop solutions to complex legal challenges, address issues escalated from junior staff, and deliver legal studies and opinions in line with inquiry specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement of legal systems, processes and practices by applying leading practices.
• Develop methodology, guidelines, templates and processes for legal inquiry research and advisory services across ZATCA functions.
• Receive, evaluate and classify requests for legal advice according to urgency and relevance.
• Maintain and update the legal advisory database, ensuring request logs are current.
• Assist in the development and delivery of legal studies, providing non‑tax, zakat and customs legal opinions to various sectors and divisions.
• Provide legal advice for simple inquiries, clarify ambiguities and recommend solutions.
• Follow all relevant policies, processes and SOPs to ensure controlled and consistent work.
• Help resolve escalated problems and support junior team members for efficient workflow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong competencies in Legal Advisory (Advanced), Legal Writing and Policy Drafting (Proficient), Research and Analysis (Advanced), and Stakeholder Management (Proficient).
• Proficiency in collaboration, communication, customer focus, data gathering, change enablement, professionalism, results orientation, and stakeholder management.
