Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator ensures efficient management of assets, equipment, transportation, site access and accommodation across multiple project locations. Working in a fast‑paced, large‑scale environment, the role supports smooth project delivery by maintaining accurate inventory and coordinating logistics for personnel and resources.

Key responsibilities

• Control, track and manage project assets and equipment to optimise utilisation across sites.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory and asset tracking records for operational continuity.
• Arrange transportation logistics, travel plans and vehicle fleet allocation, monitoring usage, maintenance and deployment.
• Coordinate site access protocols, security clearances and accommodation logistics for project teams.
• Serve as liaison between internal teams, contractors and external service providers, ensuring compliance with logistics procedures and safety standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on logistics performance.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering Higher Diploma or BSc (or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field).
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in logistics coordination, asset management and site support within large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Sound knowledge of road standards and temporary works design.
• Willingness to work on‑site as required (not purely office‑based).
• Valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (advantage).
• Experience using vehicle booking systems.
• Experience with staff entry permitting platforms.
• Understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain management and asset inventory tracking.
