Logistics Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Logistics Manager oversees all logistical activities on a construction site, ensuring that materials, equipment, and personnel move efficiently and safely throughout the project lifecycle. This role coordinates delivery, storage, distribution, site access, and traffic flow while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor site-wide logistics through a contracted logistics provider.
• Ensure orderly, safe, and efficient movement of labour, plant, and materials.
• Maintain a secure site, conduct regular logistics meetings, and manage worker accommodation.
• Develop processes, procedures, induction programmes, and site‑specific safety manuals.
• Create and update supply‑chain plans, movement schedules, look‑ahead forecasts, and emergency plans.
• Manage signage, public access roads, and security systems to support site operations.
• Handle change management, permitting, cost review, planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing logistics for construction or large‑scale projects.
• Strong ability to collaborate with project teams, suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and risk‑management skills.
