Maintenance Technician – Material Handling Systems

About the role

Vanderlande, a global leader in baggage handling and warehouse solutions, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its Jeddah customer site. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing material handling equipment to ensure high availability, safety and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment (motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling and conveyor systems) using diagrams, manuals and hand tools.
• Follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and safe work practices at all times.
• Execute service calls, emergency and corrective maintenance, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Complete CMMS work orders, service reports, parts usage and warranty records.
• Un‑jam conveyors, resolve system errors and attend manual encoding stations.
• Conduct inventory counts, request spare parts and manage warranty documentation.
• Provide guidance to less‑experienced technicians and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently on site and manage preventive maintenance tasks.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with capacity to identify and address equipment faults.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and other technicians.
• Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives.
