Maintenance/Engineering Technician

About the role

PepsiCo is seeking a Maintenance/Engineering Technician to carry out mechanical maintenance, corrective and preventive tasks, and engineering‑related work on plant equipment. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, safety and optimal line availability within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute assigned work orders, corrective and preventive maintenance, and engineering tasks safely and cost‑effectively.
• Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Diagnose technical issues, determine required parts, and make decisions on spare‑part utilization.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance plans to meet engineering standards and maintain equipment readiness.
• Monitor daily parameters, perform utility equipment operation, and ensure compliance with EHS controls.
• Supervise contracted labour during maintenance activities and enforce safety and company standards.
• Maintain line availability and technical efficiency by achieving equipment readiness targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective measures.
• Strong understanding of spare‑part management and critical inventory.
• Commitment to safety, environmental, and EHS standards.
• Capability to work independently and coordinate with supervisors, peers and managers.
