Manager, Risk & Business Continuity

About the role

The Risk & Business Continuity Manager will work with department heads and the executive team to develop and implement strategies that anticipate, address and mitigate business interruptions, while overseeing the enterprise risk management programme.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments by gathering and analysing documentation, statistics, market trends and potential disruption impacts.
• Establish and maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, business impact analyses, crisis response and recovery playbooks.
• Review and improve risk management policies, validate mitigation plans and recommend treatments such as insurance, safety measures and continuity arrangements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define risk appetite, provide risk advice, and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Develop, test and update business continuity and disaster‑recovery plans, including organising exercises and coordinating with IT for data protection.
• Prepare regular enterprise risk reports, monitor action items and promote risk ownership across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to collect and interpret financial, technical and operational data.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Proven experience in preparing reports and delivering presentations to senior management.
• Systematic logical thinking and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
