Manufacturing and Workshop Integration and Testing Technician

About the role

The Manufacturing and Workshop Integration and Testing Technician is responsible for end‑to‑end workshop and manufacturing activities, from control panel wiring and cabinet assembly to system integration, pre‑testing and handover of automation and control systems. The role works in a manufacturing or staging environment, preparing PLC, DCS and instrumentation cabinets for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform control panel wiring, cable termination, ferruling, labeling and assembly of PLC/DCS cabinets according to design schematics.
• Execute precision soldering of electronic modules and PCBs following IPC and ESD standards.
• Conduct inspection, loop checks, I/O verification and functional testing prior to FAT.
• Support FAT and IFAT activities with clients, ensuring compliance and complete documentation.
• Troubleshoot wiring faults, control logic issues and integration errors in coordination with engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate assembly records, test reports and punch‑list items throughout the build and test cycle.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in panel wiring, cabinet assembly or control system integration.
• Knowledge of IPC soldering standards and ESD handling practices.
• Experience with FAT, IFAT and pre‑commissioning activities is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, control drawings and layout diagrams.
• Hands‑on expertise in panel wiring, cable termination and ferruling.
• IPC‑certified soldering skills for electronic assemblies and PCBs.
• ESD awareness and safe handling of electronic components.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS and SCADA hardware integration.
• Knowledge of FAT, IFAT and loop‑check documentation requirements.
