Material Expediter

About the role

The Material Expediter ensures that all project materials are available on time by coordinating procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and delivery activities across Saudi Arabia. Working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, internal procurement and project teams, the role prevents delays and maintains a smooth material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the Project Material Tracker with accurate status of PRs, POs, manufacturing, shipment, and delivery.
• Expedite suppliers to secure timely order acknowledgment, production progress, and dispatch according to project schedules.
• Monitor critical materials, flag potential delays, and communicate risks to Procurement and Project teams.
• Coordinate with vendors for production schedules, inspection dates, and shipping details.
• Prepare weekly material status reports for management and stakeholders.
• Manage local material collection, transportation, and delivery to warehouses or sites.
• Oversee international shipments, customs clearance, and freight forwarding to ensure compliant import/export operations.
• Track logistics documentation (Bill of Lading, AWB, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Customs Documents) and ensure adherence to KSA regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement expediting, logistics coordination, or material control, preferably in fast‑track projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian import/export regulations and local transportation processes.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
