Materials Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Materials Inspector to join AECOM’s Riyadh team. The role ensures that all construction materials meet approved specifications, contract requirements and Saudi Arabian standards, supporting the delivery of high‑quality infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify all materials delivered to the site against specifications, submittals and contract documents.
• Review material source approvals, delivery paperwork, batch certificates and laboratory test reports before acceptance.
• Conduct sampling and witness laboratory and field testing for concrete, aggregates, steel, asphalt, soil and other materials.
• Monitor storage, handling and protection of materials to prevent contamination or damage.
• Collaborate with Material Engineers and Site Engineers to coordinate testing schedules and resolve material‑related issues.
• Prepare and submit Work Inspection Requests and maintain comprehensive inspection records.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Experience in construction material inspection or quality control.
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams on site.
