Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to create detailed mechanical system designs and schematics for a variety of projects. The role involves analysing requirements, developing and testing solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical system designs, schematics and layouts that meet project specifications and relevant codes.
• Perform load calculations, system simulations and performance analyses to validate design efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, specifications and reports, ensuring accuracy and up‑to‑date records.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems with overall project requirements.
• Review and approve design modifications, resolve technical issues and support implementation phases.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve design processes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and relevant national/local codes.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and maintain quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with clients, team members and other disciplines.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
