Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Awtad is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, and overseeing mechanical systems across projects, ensuring high‑quality and efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical engineering drawings and technical plans.
• Monitor on‑site execution of mechanical works and verify compliance with specifications.
• Participate in inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Produce periodic technical reports on progress and observations.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to meet project schedules.
• Assist in quantity surveying and material/equipment review.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and propose improvements.
• Use engineering software for designs, calculations, and reporting.
• Follow up with contractors and suppliers to confirm specification compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of relevant experience.
• Valid membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers or eligibility for registration.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and related engineering software.
