Mechanical Engineer – Power Plant Maintenance

About the role
The Mechanical Engineer will supervise a team of maintenance technicians and support staff to carry out day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance at a power and desalination plant. The role also supports major plant outages through a gas‑turbine long‑term service agreement while ensuring safety, environmental, reliability and budget targets are met.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and obtain required permits to work.
- Supervise technicians and contractors, enforcing safety rules and HSE procedures.
- Plan, schedule and execute mechanical maintenance tasks using the CMMS, following OEM manuals and best practices.
- Document maintenance actions, produce reports and suggest improvements to procedures.
- Provide 24‑hour on‑call support for equipment troubleshooting and repair to minimise downtime.
Required profile
- B.E. degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience (or 3–5 years for external candidates) in mechanical maintenance of power‑plant technology.
- Age between 25 and 35 years.
