Mechanical Engineer – Site Supervision (Riyadh)

About the role

Egis is looking for a detail‑oriented Mechanical Engineer to supervise on‑site mechanical works in Riyadh. The role bridges the engineering team, contractors and project management, ensuring that mechanical installations are executed safely, on schedule and in line with technical specifications and Saudi regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, calculations and other technical documents.
• Conduct regular site inspections and supervise installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and other engineering disciplines to meet project milestones and budget targets.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on‑site and provide practical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and inspectors, supporting their technical development.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi building codes, local authority requirements and applicable standards.
• Implement sustainable and energy‑efficient engineering practices throughout the project.
• Prepare technical reports, site observation notes and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in on‑site mechanical supervision for large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi building codes and relevant international standards.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with contractors and clients.
