Mechanical QC Inspector I

About the role

The Mechanical QC Inspector I ensures that all mechanical inspection and testing activities are performed safely, accurately, and in line with technical requirements, company policies and client specifications. This role supports marine engineering projects, overseeing the quality of equipment, installations and pressure testing.

Key responsibilities

• Review work orders, inspection manuals and blueprints to define inspection and test requirements.
• Test and measure finished products, components and assemblies for functionality, accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Read dials and meters, record results, and mark items for acceptance or rejection.
• Ensure installation and pressure‑testing activities follow approved procedures and client codes.
• Maintain preservation of project equipment according to company standards and vendor recommendations.
• Complete and endorse inspection records from initial check to final acceptance.
• Develop and apply inspection standards, method statements, risk assessments, and checklists.
• Coordinate with clients to verify contractual and code compliance.
• Ensure adherence to information security policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6‑9 years of quality‑control experience in marine engineering (ship or rig building).
• Certificates in welding inspection (e.g., CSWIP 3.1, AWS‑CWI) and ISO 9001:2015 auditor or lead auditor.
