Specialist, Electrical Asset Inspection

About the role

The Specialist, Electrical Asset Inspection will work with authorized inspection contractors to deliver high‑quality inspection services and certifications for electrical assets at International Maritime Industries’ Ras Al Khair facility. The role ensures equipment complies with industry standards, operates safely, and any functional or safety issues are identified early.

Key responsibilities

• Plan inspections by reviewing architectural blueprints, electrical panel schedules and related documents to ensure safety and code compliance.
• Coordinate and supervise electrical inspection contractors during functional, safety, periodic, compliance and initial installation inspections.
• Interpret inspection reports, identify discrepancies and approve results only after corrective actions are addressed.
• Conduct inspections on new and existing electrical installations, write detailed execution reports and recommend corrective measures.
• Provide technical advice to engineers, contractors and inspectors and contribute to the development of codes, standards and guidelines.
• Monitor key performance indicators for the inspection program and report variations to the Asset Inspection Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 6 years of experience in electrical inspection or related field.
• Certified Electrical Inspector certification is a plus.
