Media & Communications Specialist - Upstream & Gas (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for a Media & Communications Specialist specializing in Upstream & Gas to join its team in Saudi Arabia. The specialist develops and implements communication strategies that present the company's activities, initiatives and achievements in the upstream and gas sectors, working closely with technical teams and management. The position is onsite in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies tailored to the upstream and gas sectors.
• Monitor media channels and extract information relevant to the gas business.
• Build a direct channel with the Upstream and Cooperation Media departments to share content domestically and internationally.
• Write high-level speeches and media content, including press releases, articles, presentations and digital content.
• Manage media relations and act as a spokesperson when needed.
• Coordinate the sharing of project, initiative and achievement information with stakeholders.
• Support internal communication materials and organize events and conference participation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep messaging consistent across channels.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in media relations, communications or PR within the oil and gas industry, preferably upstream or gas.
• Strong understanding of the upstream and gas industries, including regulations and market dynamics.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, able to explain complex technical information clearly.
• Experience managing media relations and communication strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with digital communication platforms and social media management.
• English and Arabic proficiency preferred.
