Medical Manager – Pharmaceutical Affairs

About the role

The Medical Manager will lead the deployment and adaptation of Ipsen’s Medical Affairs strategy across the Kingdom. This senior position oversees scientific communication, KOL engagement, and the execution of medical activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and adapt the Ipsen Medical Affairs strategy, including tactics and execution.
• Manage scientific information dissemination and maintain relationships with key partners and KOLs.
• Coordinate and manage scientific supporting documentation for Ipsen products and therapeutic areas.
• Collaborate with the Group Medical department to oversee local clinical trial performance.
• Ensure compliant collaboration with HCPs and HCOs through Ipsin systems and SOPs.
• Mentor, manage, and appraise Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and lead the medical organisation.
• Set and align medical affairs strategy with regional plans, covering pre‑launch, launch, and post‑launch activities.
• Lead medical scientific communication, education, and expert interactions.
• Provide clinical expertise to internal and external customers and support sales force training.
• Support Marketing in reviewing promotional materials for medical accuracy and compliance.
• Facilitate participation in clinical trials, conduct feasibility assessments, and ensure pharmacovigilance compliance.
• Assist with regulatory support and local study protocol implementation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor MSL teams.
• Strong knowledge of compliance requirements for HCP/HCO interactions.
• Experience coordinating clinical trials and supporting pharmacovigilance activities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Access, and regulatory teams.
