About the role
CACTUS is seeking a remote Medical Physics Editor to support researchers in publishing high‑impact manuscripts. You will apply your subject‑matter expertise to improve scientific clarity, accuracy, and language quality.
Key responsibilities
- Review and edit research manuscripts for clarity, coherence, and readability while preserving authors’ intent.
- Validate discipline‑specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments for accuracy and consistency.
- Enhance presentation of complex findings to meet publication standards of target journals.
- Ensure final texts are free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences and follow journal‑specific formatting guidelines.
Required profile
- PhD in Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics (mandatory).
- Strong publication record with at least 5 first‑author papers.
- Prior peer‑review experience and ability to assess study design, methodology, statistics, and interpretation.
- Excellent written English, meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in scientific editing or academic publishing is preferred.
