Medical Science Liaison Manager – Lead MSL Team

About the role

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Manager within Sanofi's General Medicines Medical team, you will lead a high‑performing MSL group in Riyadh. The role focuses on strategic scientific engagement, insights generation, and supporting data initiatives to drive medical excellence across diabetes, transplant, and immunology therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and develop the MSL team across scientific engagement, insights generation, data support, and internal collaboration.
• Co‑create and execute Country Medical Plans aligned with regional priorities.
• Set and monitor performance goals, budgets, KPIs, and metrics for the team.
• Design talent engagement and retention strategies, including career pathways and development plans.
• Ensure balanced scientific exchanges with external stakeholders based on current clinical knowledge.
• Lead insights generation, translating field observations into strategic recommendations.
• Facilitate communication of scientific insights to cross‑functional and global teams.
• Maintain compliance with governance, training, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience leading MSL or medical affairs teams.
• Prior senior MSL or team‑lead experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharma environment.
• Medical, pharmacy, or postgraduate science degree; Masters or MBA is a plus.
• Fluency in English and relevant local language(s).
