Medical Scientific Liaison - Oncology

About the role

AstraZeneca is hiring a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) for oncology in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is field-based and aims to build scientific leadership for the therapy area: developing professional relationships with healthcare professionals, driving positive views of the company's compounds, delivering medical education and clinical support, and helping develop brand strategy. Only applications from candidates in KSA will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver updated AstraZeneca medical information to healthcare professionals through various channels.
• Ensure clinical studies meet quality, cost and time standards, and monitor ongoing studies from outline to final report.
• Plan, run and complete assigned projects, reporting progress on time.
• Train and coach team members by sharing knowledge.
• Handle adverse event reports in line with standards, procedures and legislation, and manage named-patient supply processes in compliance with legal and ethical obligations.
• Integrate pharmacovigilance systems to meet regulatory needs and local and global standards.

Required profile

• Minimum of two years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hematology/oncology experience is a plus.
• For commercial roles: average achievement of 100% over the last two semesters (S1'2023 and S2'2022) or equivalent dashboards; for non-commercial roles: a consistent performance track record.
• For CSLS/MSL roles: at least one year of experience in the current therapy area.
