MEP Design Manager (Mechanical) – 14‑Month Contract – Riyadh

About the role

We are supporting a leading international consultancy with the appointment of an experienced MEP Design Manager (Mechanical) to join their Riyadh team on a 14‑month contract, working on a prestigious hospitality project. The role involves managing and coordinating the mechanical and wider MEP design function throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high standards of technical delivery, coordination and design quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical design and MEP coordination across the project.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and ensure effective coordination between mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
• Review and manage design deliverables from concept through detailed design and construction stages.
• Provide technical leadership and resolve complex design and coordination issues.
• Work closely with the client, project management teams and external stakeholders.
• Monitor programme, design quality, technical compliance and delivery against project requirements.
• Support design reviews, technical workshops and coordination meetings.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant international standards and Saudi requirements.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
• Significant experience in MEP consultancy/design with a strong mechanical bias.
• Proven experience in a Design Manager / MEP Design Manager / Mechanical Design Manager capacity.
• Experience delivering complex, high‑value building projects, preferably in hospitality, luxury residential, resort or VVIP sectors.
• Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is preferred.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and client‑facing experience.
