Microbiology Specialist

About the role

The Microbiology Specialist will ensure the safety and quality of food ingredients and finished products by applying HACCP principles and ISO 17025 laboratory standards. The role combines routine testing, data analysis, and participation in research and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on ready‑to‑eat foods, raw materials, water and other samples to generate reliable data for HACCP evaluation.
• Design, execute and document analyses according to standard procedures and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Record, review and transmit test results after approval by laboratory management.
• Receive, label, prepare and analyse samples, maintaining strict methodological accuracy.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, order supplies and ensure safe storage of chemicals, media and glassware.
• Prepare hygiene complaint investigation reports and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Ability to follow strict methodologies and safety guidelines.
• Experience with HACCP implementation and ISO 17025 laboratory standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good time‑management and computer proficiency.
