Network & Security Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain its Cisco‑based infrastructure across data‑center, WAN, and wireless environments. The role involves hands‑on configuration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with security teams to ensure high availability and robust protection.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and configure Cisco Nexus switches (9K, 7K, 5K) including Fabric Path, VPC, VDC, ACI, OTV, and VXLAN.
• Support the security team on Cisco ISE servers (SNS‑3495‑K9 v2.3) and user connectivity.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA 5500 series firewalls.
• Manage IPS/IDS, DDoS mitigation, Splunk, and Symantec Endpoint Protection tools.
• Maintain Cisco wireless infrastructure – access points, Wireless Services Modules, and 5500 series LAN controllers.
• Administer MPLS WAN cloud, establish provider‑edge connections, and configure BGP routing.
• Perform daily network operations, monitor ISP link uptime, and generate performance reports.
• Utilize network monitoring tools such as NetFlow, Intermapper, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime.
• Lead proof‑of‑concept projects for Cisco ACI with 9000 series switches.
• Design and update network diagrams using MS Visio.

Required profile

• Valid CCNP certification.
• Transferable Iqama (work permit) for Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms.
• Strong background in WAN/LAN projects and enterprise desktop/network support.

• Cisco Nexus, UCS, ISE, ASA 5500 series.
• IPS/IDS/DDoS, Splunk, Symantec Endpoint Protection.
• Cisco wireless (Access Points, WSM, AIR‑CT5508).
• MPLS, BGP, Cisco ACI, 9000 series switches.
• Cisco 6500/6800/4500/3500/2900/3700 stackable switches.
• Cisco 7200 VXR, ASR1006, 3800/3900/2800 routers.
• Network monitoring (NetFlow, Intermapper, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime).
• MS Visio for network design.
