Network Technician – Data Center Support

About the role

The Network Technician will support daily network operations within our data centre environment, ensuring reliable LAN/WAN connectivity and timely resolution of incidents. You will work closely with senior engineers and vendors to maintain and improve the network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor network alerts and resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
• Install, replace and patch network equipment in data centres and network rooms.
• Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, VLANs and other network devices.
• Manage copper and fiber cabling, labeling and cable management.
• Support network changes, maintenance activities and equipment relocation or de‑commissioning.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, equipment records and change logs.

Required profile

• Diploma in Network Engineering, IT, Computer Networks or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in network operations or data‑centre environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in a data‑centre and follow safety and change‑management procedures.

Required skills

• Switching and routing configuration.
• LAN/WAN network connectivity troubleshooting.
• TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS and DHCP fundamentals.
• Use of diagnostic tools such as Ping and Traceroute.
• Copper and fiber cabling, network patching and cable management.
• CCNA certification (preferred).
