OCI Engineer – Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced OCI Engineer to design, build and operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments for our clients in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering secure, highly‑available and cost‑effective cloud platforms while supporting migration and modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and configure OCI resources such as Compute, Block/Object/FSS storage, VCN, Load Balancer, DBCS and ADB following approved landing‑zone patterns.
• Implement networking components (subnets, route tables, security lists/NSGs, FastConnect, IPSec VPN, DNS) and enforce tagging, naming and cost‑allocation standards.
• Support deployments across environments using CI/CD pipelines (OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code modules (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager) and automation scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python) for routine tasks.
• Monitor platform health, respond to alerts and incidents within SLAs using OCI Monitoring, Logging, APM and tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, Dynatrace.
• Execute operational tasks – patching, backups, capacity checks, certificate renewals and drift remediation; participate in on‑call rotations.
• Apply security controls (IAM policies, MFA, OCI Vault/KMS, encryption, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Data Safe) and perform regular compliance reviews.
• Assist workload migrations (lift‑and‑shift, re‑platform) to OCI and provide hyper‑care support for application teams.
• Drive cost‑optimization initiatives and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in cloud platform engineering, primarily on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one additional public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Ability to work independently on routine to moderately complex tasks and support senior engineers on larger projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a focus on security, reliability and cost efficiency.
