OPEX Payable Specialist Professional

About the role

The OPEX Payable Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end processing of supplier invoices related to operational expenditures (OPEX) and GSM sites. The role ensures accurate payment, compliance with contracts, and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Approve supplier invoices for OPEX and GSM in the Accounts Payable module.
• Audit invoice values against contracts or purchase orders and verify mathematical accuracy.
• Confirm invoice approval status based on receipt of goods/services or milestone completion.
• Prepare, register and verify accounting entries, ensuring proper documentation and archiving.
• Reconcile contract values with payments to avoid over‑payment.
• Analyze GL accounts related to OPEX, GSM, vendor liabilities and operational expenses.
• Coordinate with the Payment Accountant to ensure on‑time invoice payments.
• Review draft contracts for price, payment terms and compliance with Mobily’s standard terms.
• Validate monthly accruals and monitor trends.
• Prepare monthly amortization for GSM site rentals and reconcile with the GL.
• Produce periodic OPEX payable reports comparing actual costs to budgeted figures.
• Support the Accounts Payable team in improving policies, procedures and automation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field from an accredited university.
