Paramedic

About the role

The Paramedic provides high‑quality patient care in emergency settings, addressing physical, medical, and cultural needs while maintaining confidentiality and following EMS guidelines. The role involves operating and maintaining EMS vehicles, staying current with medical trends, and supporting the team through continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with EMS protocols and cultural considerations.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain EMS vehicles and equipment to ensure reliability.
• Complete administrative tasks, prepare vehicles for deployment, and follow Medical Control directives.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and research activities.
• Manage medical supplies efficiently and support resource optimization.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a cohesive teamwork environment.
• Perform any other duties within the scope of the position.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedic.
• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Medical Services or a higher related degree.
• Excellent oral and written English and Arabic communication skills.
• Physically able to perform demanding emergency duties.

Required skills

• Advanced Life Support (ALS) proficiency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
• Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS) certification.
• Valid Light Transportation Driving License and ability to drive Type I‑III ambulance vehicles.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
