Part-Time Orthopaedic Consultant - Lower Limb

About the role

The institute seeks a part-time, in-person Orthopaedic Consultant specialising in lower limb care, based in the ICC physical clinic in Riyadh. The consultant provides specialised care for hip, knee, ankle and foot conditions, working alongside full-time clinical and administrative teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage acute and chronic lower limb musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, degenerative joint disease and sports-related knee and ankle injuries
• Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up, and coordinate care with the full-time team between sessions
• Conduct clinical examinations, review imaging and develop evidence-based management plans, including non-operative treatment and referrals
• Work with physiotherapy and podiatry teams and mentor junior physicians and healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and take part in quality improvement, audits and clinical governance
• Ensure patient safety, report incidents and give clear advice on diagnoses, treatment plans and medications

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited school
• Residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery and board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Fellowship certification in Lower Limb, Hip, Knee or Foot and Ankle Surgery
• SCFHS classification and registration as an Orthopaedic Surgery Consultant
• Proven experience as a lower limb orthopaedic consultant, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting
• Minimum 3 years of clinical practice
