Payable & Payroll Officer

About the role

A hotel group is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Payable & Payroll professional to join its finance team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role covers accounts payable operations and payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments while complying with local regulations and financial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding and payment authorization
• Run payroll cycles, covering salary calculations, deductions and payment distribution
• Reconcile vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Maintain organized payroll and accounts payable records in line with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with Human Resources and Finance to resolve payment discrepancies and employee queries
• Perform monthly and periodic reconciliations of payroll and accounts payable accounts
• Generate financial reports on payroll and vendor payments
• Keep up with Saudi payroll regulations, tax requirements and GOSI compliance
• Identify and implement process improvements for payment operations

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and payroll administration
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance and Saudi labour laws
• Expertise in financial reconciliation and data verification
• Ability to work confidentially with sensitive financial information and collaborate across departments
• Preferred: experience in a payroll or finance role in the Middle East, and familiarity with automated payment systems

Required skills

• Accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of GOSI requirements and local payroll compliance
