PDI Foreman - Trucks & Buses

About the role

Al-Futtaim Automotive is looking for an experienced, customer-focused PDI Foreman to join its Service team in KSA. The role is the main link between Sales, Service Operations, Administration, OEM representatives and customers, ensuring vehicles are inspected, prepared, documented and delivered to company and manufacturer standards. It oversees Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities, manages vehicle readiness, coordinates issue resolution and monitors delivery timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee PDI activities for commercial vehicles
• Ensure vehicles are prepared and delivered in line with company and OEM standards
• Monitor and control PDI job cards, system updates, parts tracking and timely closure of work orders
• Identify, document and coordinate the resolution of vehicle abnormalities before customer delivery
• Work with Sales, Service, Administration and OEM teams to ensure delivery readiness
• Maintain accurate arrival inspection reports, PDI records and delivery documentation
• Track delivery status and give daily operational reports to management
• Follow up on registration requirements, pending actions and undelivered vehicles
• Minimise rework, repeat repairs and delivery-related issues to support customer satisfaction

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 3 years of technical experience, preferably in buses and commercial vehicles
• Proven experience in vehicle inspection, service operations, workshop processes or delivery management
• Technical expertise in diesel engines, powertrain systems, driveline components, electrical systems, air conditioning and spare parts

Required skills

• Problem-solving, attention to detail and stakeholder coordination
• Knowledge of warranty processes, service guidelines, fault diagnosis and repair procedures
• Working knowledge of SAP, CRM/DBM systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure
