Planning Engineer (EPC Project Scheduling)

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to develop, maintain and update detailed EPC project schedules using Primavera P6. The role involves preparing baseline and recovery schedules, monitoring progress, and supporting project management decisions throughout engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed EPC project schedules in Primavera P6, including baseline, recovery and look‑ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, perform critical‑path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S‑curves and resource histograms for management and client submissions.
• Track engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities, and maintain planning records and reporting documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shipment and site delivery milestones, forecasting requirements and supporting vendor mobilization.
• Prepare cost summaries, mobilization estimates and techno‑commercial reports to monitor financial performance and assist cash‑flow forecasting.
• Support change‑management, delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations when required.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE and commercial teams to keep schedules current and identify risks.
