Senior Design Civil Engineer – Jeddah

About the role

The Senior Design Civil Engineer will lead the preparation of specifications, coordinate design reviews and manage design work with contractors, consultants and internal disciplines for large thermal power projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and coordinate design reviews across civil, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Manage design deliverables, including foundation drawings, calculations, building layouts, road and drainage plans.
• Review EPC submissions, master documents, design criteria and vendor material proposals.
• Attend testing, evaluate test procedures and reports, and oversee construction method statements.
• Conduct risk assessments, handle design changes, produce as‑built drawings and support claim evaluation and change order close‑out.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on large thermal power projects, with strong knowledge of international standards.
• Excellent English communication skills and proven leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design software (e.g., CAD/structural analysis tools).
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with Management Information Systems (MIS).
