Planning Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed EPC project schedules using Primavera P6, including baseline, recovery, and look‑ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, perform critical‑path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.
• Forecast project completion dates and support management in schedule‑related decision‑making.
• Track engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client review.
• Create project dashboards, S‑curves, resource histograms and other measurement tools to monitor productivity, resource utilization and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shipment and site delivery milestones, ensuring alignment with the project schedule.
• Monitor vendor and subcontractor deliverables against contractual milestones and support timely mobilization of suppliers.
• Prepare cost summaries, mobilization estimates and techno‑commercial reports to monitor financial performance and assist in cash‑flow forecasting.
• Support change‑management processes, delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations when required.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE and commercial teams to keep schedules current and identify risks.
• Participate in progress review meetings with stakeholders such as SEC, National Grid, subcontractors and other project partners.
