POS & PSD Maintenance Technician

About the role

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on third‑rail and track systems, ensuring compliance with approved maintenance plans and strict safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, unscheduled maintenance, and minor repairs on third‑rail and track components.
• Log all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintain accurate records.
• Use certified, calibrated tools and automotive equipment to execute tasks safely and efficiently.
• Operate On‑Track Machines (OTM) and rail vehicles for track profile adjustments and infrastructure installation.
• Implement Permit to Work processes and communicate with signalers, line controllers, and electrical control operators.
• Support shift and emergency duties, including pilot‑man operations during single‑line working or possessions.
• Assist supervisors with asset configuration changes and technical support tasks.
• Ensure safe system of work by reporting unidentified issues and protecting personnel in possession areas.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Railway Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience in track or third‑rail maintenance within the railway sector.

Required skills

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Operation of On‑Track Machines (OTM) and rail vehicles for maintenance tasks.
